Any army needs a leader, so today we take also a look at my Archon and some Scourge proxies, as usual from Onslaught Miniatures. The Archon is a slightly converted butcher model, on a base with some Inccubi proxies and a razor spire. An Archon is in my opinion absolutely necessary as you want to make sure retaining or combined engagements happen when you want them to happen. Nothing wrecks your day as much as a failed combined assault, leaving valuable units inactivated and vulnerable in the open to get turned into dog fodder within the next seconds. Especially as your Strategy rating is 3 (as long as you play NetEA), meaning nothing but standard it is unlikely to win initiative every turn, therefore any strikes need to be as efficient as possible. The Archons re-roll does not guarantee for your success but makes any game easier. The Scourge are especially powerful in firefights and therefore supporting fire. Their armor is mediocre otherwise. Personally I would not bother in taking the 8 stand upgrade, as it seems to be overpriced as many of the given upgrades in the net Epic Armageddon list.
In Warhammer 40k I’ve never bought any new era Scourges, so my models were warrior stands with metal jetpacks on their back.
